Walk. Connect. Celebrate. Join The Grand Parade!

The Grand Parade is less than a month away — and we need YOU to help make it a real parade!

On Saturday, September 19, walkers of all ages and abilities will come together at Kiwanis Field to celebrate older adults and raise funds for the Grand River Council on Aging (GRCOA).

There are so many reasons to walk. ❤️

Walk in honour or memory of someone special.
Walk with family, friends, neighbours or coworkers.
Walk to celebrate the older adults who make our community stronger.
Or simply walk because you believe everyone deserves the opportunity to remain engaged, informed and connected as they age.

Every Walker Makes a Difference

When you register, you can join an existing team, create your own team, or participate as an individual. Then invite friends and family to sponsor your walk.

Every donation counts! Funds raised through The Grand Parade support GRCOA programs and resources available to our community, including Community at Home workshops, the Age-Friendly Calendar, Seniors’ Discount Directory, bi-weekly newsletter and INFO HUB.

And fundraising doesn’t have to be complicated. A few emails, texts or social media posts to people you know can quickly add up. Tell them why you’re walking — personal stories are often the most powerful reason for someone to give.
