Thanks to the incredible generosity and enthusiasm of our community, The Grand Parade 2026 raised an amazing $45,262, surpassing our $40,000 fundraising goal!

Whether you walked, collected pledges, donated, volunteered or cheered us on, YOU helped make this success possible!

The Grand River Council on Aging extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this year’s event. Your generosity helps us keep older adults informed, engaged and connected in Brantford, the County of Brant and Six Nations of the Grand River.

Exciting News – The Grand Parade Is Moving to June!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 5, 2027!

Beginning in 2027, The Grand Parade will move from September to the first Saturday in June, bringing a fresh new season to this wonderful community event.

Why the change?

• Celebrating Seniors’ Month: June is the perfect time to recognize and support older adults in our community.
• Building momentum: A spring campaign provides more time to recruit teams, welcome sponsors and build fundraising excitement before summer holidays.
• Fewer scheduling conflicts: September is packed with community walks, festivals and other events competing for people’s time and attention.

While the season is changing, the heart of The Grand Parade remains the same — bringing people together, strengthening connections and supporting older adults.

We hope our walkers, donors, sponsors and volunteers will join us again in June 2027!

Same grand purpose. A fresh new season. Together, let’s continue making LIFE GRAND for older adults!
